The Savant Guard is an all new independent 12" and digital-only label, management company, and couture clothing line based in Brooklyn, NY and run with great ardor by NYC's favorite multimedia punks, the earthprogram ltd.™ known for their legendary NY-defining underground parties in the 90's, sought-after design aesthetic, and previous house imprint, Warmth.
12" releases will feature custom full-color artwork on heavy virgin vinyl. The coinciding digital release will also be available from over 300 digital outlets worldwide, including iTunes, Beatport, Rhapsody, Napster, eMusic, and right here from our all new website, debuting in Winter 2008.
March 24th, 2008 will see our worldwide debut release with Philadelphia's Pink Skull. Their massive tech house banger, "Drugs Will Keep Us Together" is about to be killing dance floors globally. The remix from Dubsided and House of 909's Trevor Loveys is a solid eight minute twisted up breakbeat masterpiece that switches and twitches in all the right places. The second is a ravey electro house dub from NYC's 33Hz and Ming of Ming+FS Fame. The digital release date is April 8th worldwide through IODA and features an equally cool bonus track sweetly titled, "Fuck You and The microKORG You Road In On". Our next 12" is a late May release from Brooklyn's unstoppable dance rockers Foreign Islands. Their angular, upbeat, explosive, and unforgettably catchy, "Congrats" features an incredible performance from NYC No Wave saxophone legend, James Chance.
Plus an equally rocking B side and top remixers on duty.
